Privacy Policy

Nididhyasan ("the App") is a shloka review app. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Guest mode. If you use the App without creating an account, all data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.

Account mode. If you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used for authentication and account recovery.
• Display name (optional) — used to personalize your greeting in the App.
• Review history — which shlokas you have reviewed, daily review logs, and settings (shlokas per day, notification preferences). This data is synced to the cloud so you can access it across devices.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data.

How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your account and keep you signed in.
• To sync your review progress across devices.
• To display your personalized greeting and stats.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or analytics.

Where Your Data Is Stored

On your device: Review progress is stored locally using UserDefaults (iOS) or localStorage (web). This data never leaves your device in guest mode.

In the cloud: If you create an account, your data is stored in Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database service. Supabase servers are located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (available in Settings within the App), all cloud data is permanently deleted immediately. Local data on your device is also cleared.

Your Rights

• Access: Your review data is visible to you at all times within the App.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings > Delete Account inside the App. This action is immediate and irreversible.
• Portability: Your review history is stored as simple JSON data. Contact us if you need an export.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — authentication and cloud database (Supabase Privacy Policy).
• Apple — push notifications are delivered via Apple Push Notification Service. We do not access your device token for any purpose other than delivering reminders you have opted into.

We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
